A Floating License is ideal for organizations that need to be able to run ZBrush at any time from any networked location.

This license makes use of a license server, installed on one of your networked computers. The ZBrush client may then be installed on any or all machines connected to the network. When any user launches ZBrush, it checks with the server to see if a seat is available. The server allows a number of concurrent users equal to the number of seats purchased. If the number of artists using the software is equal to the number of purchased seats, no additional users may launch ZBrush until someone else closes the application.

Floating licenses require 10 seats or more. Additional seats may be added in any quantity and at any time. Platforms may be mixed, with both PC and Mac clients communicating with the same license server.

ZBrush 4R3 Patch
The ZBrush 4R3 updater is for single-user and volume licenses, only. We are currently preparing a patch to fix certain issues that have been reported in 4R2b, after which a separate updater will be made for floating clients. Instructions for how to upgrade floating licenses will be sent to your account’s contact person once the updater is ready.
