Concepting with ZSketch

Concepting in 3D is now much easier because of ZSketch - there's no base mesh to model (which can take several hours) and you can just see where the sketch takes you. It's so fast - you can see the results in an hour or less - and if you like the concept you can resurface for production.

The basic workflow is:

  • play with the zsketch
  • find a blocking shape that you like
  • sculpt it
  • do polypaint ( bake a color map )
  • decimate it
  • go in your 3d package and render it .
  • if you like it resurface it for production and push the detail...

...or do another concept. :)
