ZSpheres: An Interesting Take
By Ryan Kingslien in ZSpheres | 5 comments
I was on Flickr last night doing a search on ZBrush related topics and came across this really interesting image of a ZSphere Creature from Kei Sawada.

While searching though his images I also found some YouTube videos of ZSpheres in action:
Check out his stuff here and here.
Great stuff Kei!

Hey, I’m still a zbrush newbie, and I understand that this look is what he’s going for, but if I’m not mistaken, isn’t this why Unified Skin is an option?
These types of models can become almost exactly the same but in polygon form, and then all the texture and whatever added.
I can’t wait to try it!!!!

Hey Chris, you can definitely use Unify Skin. However, I think his goal was to use the look of ZSpheres themselves as part of the art. That’s just my conjecture, though.
